Nedan f\u00f6ljer lite allm\u00e4nna tips p\u00e5 b\u00e5de f\u00f6rvaring, sk\u00f6tsel och annat som kan vara bra att veta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">F\u00f6rvaring<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En rej\u00e4l pj\u00e4s som denna beh\u00f6ver f\u00f6rvaras n\u00e4r den inte anv\u00e4nds. En vanlig fr\u00e5ga jag f\u00e5r \u00e4r: kan den st\u00e5 ute? Absolut. Den \u00e4r behandlad med olja f\u00f6r att t\u00e5la v\u00e4ta. Eftersom det \u00e4r obehandlat st\u00e5l har smokern f\u00e5tt en ytbehandling: den \u00e4r anstruken av rapsolja. Man kan anv\u00e4nda rapsolja, jordn\u00f6tsolja eller solrosolja. Alla tre fungerar lika bra, och de g\u00f6r det av en anledning: de t\u00e5l h\u00f6g temperatur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Varf\u00f6r?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Smokern behandlas som en gjutj\u00e4rnsstekpanna. Man stryker p\u00e5 ett tunt lager olja och hettar sen upp smokern f\u00f6r att br\u00e4nna in oljan i st\u00e5let. F\u00f6rutom ett bra skydd mot rost och fukt ger det \u00e4ven en v\u00e4ldigt fin patina. Den h\u00e4r processen kallas polymerisering. N\u00e4r oljan hettas upp omvandlas den och binder molekyl\u00e4rt till st\u00e5let. Allt eftersom processen upprepas f\u00e5r man ett b\u00e4ttre skydd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">N\u00e4r?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Jag rekommenderar att g\u00f6ra det var 3:e eller 4:e g\u00e5ng man anv\u00e4nder smokern. <strong>Viktigt<\/strong>: g\u00f6r det <em>innan<\/em> anv\u00e4ndning. De delar som uts\u00e4tts f\u00f6r st\u00f6rst temperatur-spann \u00e4r fireboxen. H\u00e4ll i 2-3 dl olja och spraya sen oljan direkt p\u00e5 smokern. Stryk ut ett tunt lager med en gammal trasa eller avrivet lakan, torka bort \u00f6verfl\u00f6dig olja. T\u00e4nd nu smokern och h\u00e5ll den ig\u00e5ng i ca 2 timmar p\u00e5 120-130\u00b0 C. Den beh\u00f6ver vara ig\u00e5ng ett tag, dels f\u00f6r att det tar tid att v\u00e4rma upp smokern i sig, men sen ocks\u00e5 f\u00f6r att br\u00e4nna in oljan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det \u00e4r d\u00e4rf\u00f6r jag rekommenderar att g\u00f6ra det precis <em>innan<\/em> man ska anv\u00e4nda den. Det tar max 30-60 sekunder att g\u00f6ra, och sen br\u00e4nner man in oljan under tiden man \u00e4nd\u00e5 tillagar maten. F\u00f6rst ut \u00e4r askan. Efter ett antal eldningar samlas en del aska i botten p\u00e5 eldl\u00e5dan, och fett och avlagring inne i smokern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fire box<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Aska binder fukt v\u00e4ldigt bra, och fr\u00e4ter. D\u00e4rf\u00f6r rekommenderar jag att man t\u00f6mmer ut askan 24 timmar efter att elden slocknat. V\u00e4nta 24h f\u00f6r att s\u00e4kerst\u00e4lla att ingen gl\u00f6d ligger och pyr. Enklast \u00e4r att plocka ut det eldfasta teglet och sen bara sopa ur fire boxen. I och med att botten \u00e4r helt sl\u00e4t st\u00e4ller jag en askhink  under och sopar ner askan i den.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Galler<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Galler reng\u00f6rs enklast med &#8221;elbow grease&#8221;, dvs genom att man kavlar upp \u00e4rmarna och st\u00e5lborstar dem. Det kan man g\u00f6ra hur ofta eller s\u00e4llan man sj\u00e4lv k\u00e4nner f\u00f6r, men en klassisk st\u00e5lborste f\u00e5r alltid jobbet gjort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Insida<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Insidan \u00e4r den delen jag reng\u00f6r mest s\u00e4llan. Efter m\u00e5nga anv\u00e4ndningar blir det sot- och kol-avlagringar p\u00e5 insidan. De skrapar man enklast bort med en spackelspade.
