Remove the pits from the fresh dates. Then wrap each date in a streak of bacon, and fix it with a toothpick.
The toothpick is removed later, before serving. Place the wrapped dates in the oven at 200° C/ 400° F, or on a grill running at approximately 150-170° C / 300-350° F.
Remove them when they have the same color as in the picture above. Remove the toothpick, let them cool for 5 minutes, then serve.
