This is a lovely side dish that you can make while grilling other foods. This one has a north African touch with the ground cumin and walnuts.
Servings 4
Ingredients
- 6 red paprikas
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tbsp brown sugar
- 5 fl.oz walnuts
Instructions
- Rinse the paprikas with cold water, and pat dry. Split them in halves, throw away the pits.
- Place the paprika halves on the grill grate, skin side down. Grill them for 10 minutes or so, until the skin side starts blackening.
- Bring them inside and chop them up with a knife. Put them in a blender together with the olive oil and spices.
- Blend until it becomes a relish, not too long though, we don’t want it too smooth. Now drop the walnuts in the blender, give it a quick spin, then serve. Fresh!
