Yep, sometimes you realize the last barbecue sauce was eaten yesterday, and now the store is closed. Well, here’s how to make a barbecue sauce in 2 minutes.
Servings 2
Ingredients
- 0.5 cups tomato ketchup
- 1.5 tbsp dark golden syrup
- 1 tbsp mustard (thick and strong)
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp Chinese soy sauce
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Use it as a glaze for your ribs, or as a table sauce. Store it in the fridge.
- This sauce is great for glazing chicken wings.
Love your barbecue and sauce! Thanks for the homemade hack for when I run out of yours!
Thanks, great to hear you like it!
We always use Frank’s hot sauce (1/2 C + 1/3 C butter) simmered briefly on the stove. However, it doesn’t keep in the fridge like your version; but there’s no ketchup flavor either. Love your website.
Thanks Lucy! I bet that Frank’s/butter combo is the bomb! Gotta try that next 👌
