This is a classic white wine sauce with lots of flavor.

Ingredients
- 0.8 cups water
- 0.6 cups white wine
- 0.8 cups cooking cream
- 1 poultry bouillon cube
- 1 oz butter
- 2 banana shallots or twice as many regular shallots
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 1 pinch ground white pepper
- 2 tbsp corn starch (for thickening)
Instructions
- Finely chop the onions and fry them in butter in a sauce pan without browning them.
- Add the wine and let it boil gently until the fluid has been reduced to half.
- Now add the water, bouillon cube and cream, and reduce it again with a third.
- Pour the sauce into a blender to blend it smooth. Pour it back into the pan, add the corn starch and bring it to a boil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
